BOUNDARIES OF SERENDIPITY /2024/ UM GALLERY

Boundaries of Serendipity brings together three artists – Karolina Kučerová, Paula Benčatová, and Františka Benčatová – who explore materiality, process, and sensitivity in artistic creation. As the exhibition architect, I sought to envelop the works in a collective, intimate haze, using translucent materials to create an air of mystery. Inspired by the legendary Twin Peaks curtains, I designed the space to highlight the evolution of artistic exploration through texture, color, and the spiritual act of making. The exhibition brings together different materials, including glass, ceramics, and textiles. This atmospheric journey invites viewers to reflect on the relationship between artist and material as they navigate a sensory maze of light, depth, and enigma.
