CERAMIC HABITAT /2021/

The handbuilt ensemble is based on the understanding of color as an opportunity to interpret. To clarify the tension between space, light and material. Earthy pastel shades intensify the possible indistinction between the object and the furniture. The body of the clay is coloured through and through. The objects embody questions of the relationship between ceramics and architecture. Is one a decoration of the other? Or is it just the opposite? Can there be architectural ceramics? And what about ceramic architecture?

Every piece is hand-built out of slabs and cylinders from hand-painted stoneware clay, high-fired at 1230°C, without any glaze.
